I applied for the Residential Architect Design Awards last year. Can I use the same login?
Yes! Please use the same email you used for your last application and click the “forgot password” button if you can’t remember your password. If the person who applied for the last program is no longer with the company, please create a new account.
Will I get emails confirming my registration and submission?
Yes. Please add digitalawards@zondahome.com to your safe senders list. If you have not received those emails, please check your spam/junk folder.
My company is outside of the US. Can I submit a project for the awards?
Only Architects and Design Firms based in the United States, Washington, D.C. and Canada (except the province of Quebec) can enter the awards. The project may be located outside of these areas, but the Architect or Design Firm should be located in the areas mentioned previously. Companies outside the US, or companies who completed international projects, are eligible for RADA.
How many projects can I enter for the awards?
You can enter as many projects as you want! Just remember you will need to pay a registration fee for each.
Do I have to mail any physical materials?
No. Please upload all materials to radesignawards.com.
Is my application fee per-project?
Yes. If you decide to submit two projects, for example, you will pay the entry fee twice.
What does each section of my dashboard mean?
- In Progress - Application(s) you are currently working on
- In Cart - Application(s) that you need to pay for in order to submit
- Complete - Finalized application(s)
- Needs Attention - Application(s) you have not yet started
- Expired - Application(s) that were not submitted before the submission deadline. Expired applications will not be considered for an award
The above categories will appear only if you have an application in that category. For example, if you do not have any expired applications, the EXPIRED section will not appear on your dashboard.
Why do I have two separate entries in my account for the same project?
The registration/pay first round and submission materials sections will each appear individually on your dashboard along with that step’s status and submission date. For example, if you have submitted both the registration and submission materials sections of your application, the COMPLETE section of your dashboard will look like this:
How can I tell if I have fully submitted my application?
Both the registration and the submission materials section of your application will show up in the COMPLETE section of your dashboard (see above for example). PLEASE NOTE: In order to fully submit your application, you will need to go through the second payment wall at the end of the submission materials section.
I was registering my project, but the system asked me to pay my fee before I could upload images. Where do I upload images?
You must register and pay your entrance fee before you can upload your project images and description. Once you pay your fee, you will be taken to the rest of your application.
Can I register and pay for my entry fee by the regular deadline of Dec. 1, but upload my materials after that date?
Yes, but please know that if you register after Dec. 1, Dec 20, you will need to pay the $50 increased fee.
Can I mention the names of my company, contractors, and consultants in the project description?
No. No identifying information can be included in any part of your application (project name, description, on plans, etc.).
How long should my project narrative be?
We request that your narrative be around 500 words, though there is no set minimum or maximum.
How many total photos can I submit?
You can submit up to 20 images, including photos and drawings.
Can I submit more than one image of the project in the same file?
No. Please do not combine more than one image in the same JPG file; upload single images only. Our judges want to be able to see your projects in as much detail as possible
What format should my images be?
All images must be in JPG format with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI. Images cannot exceed 2,000 pixels in length or height.
What format should my plans be in?
Plans must be converted to JPG files. Images cannot exceed 2,000 pixels in length or height.
For the Fireplace category, sponsored by Heat & Glo, does the project have to include products by Heat & Glo?
No, the use of Heat & Glo products isn’t required to enter or win this contest.
Can I have a refund on my submissions?
We’re sorry, but no. No refunds will be issued. Please be sure to review all eligibility guidelines before submitting a project. If you still aren’t sure whether you qualify, please email rada@zondahome.com.
Can I submit my product to the Residential Architect Design Awards?
No. Unfortunately, RADA does not accept products as applicants. Please check out Architect's Product Call.
When will you announce the winners?
We will announce the RADA winners in late January or February 2025. Be sure to follow ARCHITECT on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know when the winners are announced.
